StepOver signature pads save 2 jumbo jets of paper each year
If the total amount of paper saved by our insurance clients due to the current use of the StepOver signature pads is calculated, a pile of 130,650,000 sheets of paper is saved each year.
This weighs about 1,439,618 lb (653,000 kg), which corresponds to the maximum take-off weight of two fully occupied and tanked Boeing 747-100 airplanes.
On the other hand, the total height of this pile would be approximately 46,300 ft (14,110 m). The following diagram represents this height compared to the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), the mean cloud height, Mount Everest and the average cruising altitude of long-distance flights.
This estimate does not include older or discarded signature pads, which have been replaced by new products or which are probably no longer in use. Status of the calculation: September 2009.
