Basic functions of the StepOver TIFF & PDF Converters

The StepOver TIFF & PDF converter consists of two virtual printers. This printer can be used for all printing applications in the same way as your usual printer. The StepOver PDF converter produces a PDF file from the document and the TIFF converter a TIFF file. The StepOver PDF converter generates a fully searchable PDF file (not a PDF image) with embedded fonts if necessary. The TIFF converter can generate both black and white tiff files (TIFF Pack, G3, G4), as well as colour TIFFs (TIFF24nc). The resolution of TIFF files can be configured as required. Both converters also generate PDF and TIFF files with multiple pages from multiple page documents. Both printers support free format selection and DinA0 printing.

Additional functions

Upon printing to one of the converters, a "Save file as…" window appears by default. However, it is also possible to automatically copy the generated files into a specific directory and extend the file names with numbers. Alternatively, an external program can be called, which can deliver the created document as a start parameter in order to enable further editing of the document after printing. For this purpose, the TIFF & PDF converter includes a configuration program where all necessary settings can be adjusted. Additionally, in this program you can set the resolution and format in which the TIFF converter should create the TIFF documents.
