Two brand new StepOver signature pads!
With the world’s thinnest colour screen signature pad (the naturaSign Pad Flawless) and the signature pad all-rounder natura Pad Comfort, StepOver GmbH has raised the bar yet again.
The naturaSign Pad Flawless combines market-leading technology with slender elegance. From its ultra-flat build of just 8mm to its smooth surface, this signature pad is extremely visually pleasing. Plus, thanks to its flush casing, this signature pad is very easy to clean. The ‘click system’ holder and flexible detachable pen fixture on the transparent edge make the naturaSign Pad Flawless a highly functional yet elegant signature pad with state-of-the-art technology. It brings a stylish touch to your desk as well as to your business.
The latest top-of-the-range model for use on the move is the naturaSign Pad Comfort, which stands out for its high level of stability and smooth, easy-to-clean casing. With a height of just 9.5mm, this signature pad fits in any Notebook pocket. Technically on a par with the naturaSign Pad Flawless, this pad is a robust companion in field service.
Both pads have in common a brilliant, high-resolution colour screen. where the signer can sign directly on the document as if it were paper. He or she can see exactly what is being signed, which creates a sense of trust.
Together with our free StepOver ImageLoader, both signature pads allow you to put together your very own slide show (e.g. advertising pop-ups) and display it on your pad. This will help you gain memorability and presence, convey your messages and advertise special activities. You can also add your desired background or adapt the screen brightness to ambient lighting and use the electricity saving mode.
But not only do these two new products shine in terms of optics and quality - StepOver has gone to every length to provide optimum security too. With the internal 2048 bit encryption of biometric signature data, implementation of a public and private key and an unbeatably high capture rate of 500 coordinates per second, the pads have long characterised StepOver GmbH’s cutting-edge technology. StepOver celebrates its 10th anniversary
The big day is the 12th of December. StepOver GmbH celebrates its 10th anniversary.
This project, which began in 2001 with the first signature pad, has evolved into a highly innovative portfolio of products. StepOver wasn't just the first manufacturer of signature pads in Europe thanks to the bluePad, but now, thanks to its eSignatureOffice product, it has, without a shadow of a doubt, also become the market leader in electronic signature software, based on the number of working licences in the insurance market.
In 2003 StepOver was already the first manufacturer to transmit the data from the signature pads in a codified form and from 2005 all the pads were also available with an LCD screen. When the naturaSign pad was launched in January 2008, which, at only 10mm, was the flattest pad in the world, StepOver began collaboration with the PrimaKlima WElweit e.V, re-planting 10m² of forest for each one of this type of pad sold. This collaboration is ongoing and has grown to also include the other signature pads in the StepOver range.
In 2010 the first signature pad to use asymmetric encryption with biometric data and an internal signature creation unit was launched onto the market. Additionally, the first StepOver signature pad with colour screen was launched.
In 2011, the anniversary year, three new products will be launched onto the market. The naturaSign Pad Mobile with black and white screen and two pads with colour screens: the naturaSign Pad Comfort and the naturaSign Pad Flawless, which include the option to recognise when the casing has been opened.
Everyone who currently uses a signature pad from the StepOver Company can count on the highest degree of security. Thus, currently, each pad has a private RSA key at 2048 bits which links the document to the pad. Additionally, the corresponding public key from the second pair of keys is found on the signature pad and with this key the biometric data are encoded. The private key, which is necessary to decode the data, is saved securely in a notary's office. In this way, uniquely with StepOver products, the entire process of unification and encryption of the biometric data is carried out within the device. This avoids any sensitive information ending up in the computer, which is a non secure area.
Thanks to the Colour Pad’s new function which recognises when the casing has been opened (mass production to begin at the end of 2011) any manipulation for which the casing may have been opened can also be detected. In this case, the device offers the options of warning or deactivation. Only through this unique security concept may the protection of the signature be guaranteed.
In this way, StepOver GmbH continues to be, 10 years on, the most secure provider of electronic signature systems in the world.
